My Core Values

I believe that strong communities are built from the ground up, starting with family. My mission is guided by timeless principles that honor individual liberty, protect constitutional rights, and defend the most vulnerable among us.

Pro Life, Pro Family & Rural Traditional Values

I am deeply committed to supporting pro-life and pro-family policies that help our communities thrive, make it easier to raise children here, and protect the parental rights of moms and dads. Our rural, traditional values have sustained us for generations, and I will be a fierce defender of the faith, freedom, and way of life that define the 110th District.

Constitutional Liberty & The Second Amendment

True freedom requires the preservation of our constitutional rights. I resolutely support the Second Amendment, recognizing that the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms is essential for personal safety, self-defense, and the preservation of a free state. I oppose any efforts to erode these foundational liberties.

Limited Government & Family Sovereignty

Families thrive when they are free to make their own choices, raise their children according to their values, and keep the fruits of their labor. I advocate for a limited government that stays within its constitutional boundaries. By reducing burdensome regulations, cutting red tape, and preventing government overreach, we can ensure that families—not bureaucrats—dictate their own futures.

"The bedrock of a free society is a strong family, protected by the Constitution and free from the heavy hand of government intervention."

The Bottom Line

Common-sense leadership means managing the state's business the way you manage a household or a local farm—responsibly, efficiently, and with an eye on the future. I would be honored to earn your vote to keep District 110 strong.

A Lifetime of Public Service

I believe that strong communities are built on reliable, common-sense leadership. For nearly 30 years, I have worked on the front lines of Kansas public service:

  • Public Safety Focus (1998–2002): Served as a Correctional Specialist at the Shawnee County Jail in Topeka, working to keep Kansas communities secure.

  • Infrastructure Management (2002–Present): For the past 24 years, I have worked with the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), ensuring the vital roads and infrastructure that connect our towns and farmers are safe, dependable, and efficient.

Why am I running?

I am not running for office to deliver empty political speeches; I am running to bring practical, common-sense solutions to Topeka. My priorities are shaped by nearly 30 years of working on the front lines of Kansas public service and living right here in Northwest Kansas. I want to be a strong, independent voice that advocates for the people and communities of the 110th District. I am running to represent your views, fight for your priorities, and make sure our community's voice is heard loud and clear in the state capitol.

Protecting Our Agricultural Economy and Landowners

As an agricultural landowner in Phillips County, I know firsthand that agriculture is the backbone of our communities. When our farmers and property owners are squeezed by rising costs and heavy tax burdens, our entire district feels the pain.

  • Property Tax Relief: I will advocate for meaningful, permanent property tax relief for local landowners and homeowners.

  • Water Security: We must proactively protect and manage our rural water quality and supply without passing penalizing regulations down to our agricultural producers.  Partner with producers to utilize new and more efficient technologies to conserve water for future generations.

  • Investing in Rural Infrastructure: For the last 24 years, my daily work at KDOT has focused on keeping our roads safe and efficient. Reliable infrastructure is what allows our farmers to get grain to market, our businesses to ship products, and our families to travel safely.

  • Securing Local Funding: I will fight to ensure Northwest Kansas gets its fair share of state infrastructure dollars so our highways, county roads, and local bridges are never left behind.

  • Supporting Main Street Businesses: Strong roads bring strong economies. I will work to keep our small towns connected and competitive.

Securing Fair Funding for Rural Schools

Our rural schools are the heart of our small towns. I am committed to protecting our schools to ensure our kids continue to get a good education.  Support technical schools and promote technical training, allowing for entry into the workforce without taking on crippling debt.

  • Protecting Our Formulas: I will fight to ensure the state education funding formula protects low-enrollment and rural districts, providing the necessary resources to keep our local schools open and thriving.

  • Supporting Rural Teachers: We must ensure competitive support to recruit and retain high-quality teachers and staff who understand and love our rural communities.

Strengthening Rural Healthcare and Community Safety

Through my early career as a correctional specialist and my wife's dedicated work as Waiver/Fostercare Coordinator for High Plains Mental Health, I understand the critical intersection of public safety, family stability, and healthcare access in rural areas.

  • Protecting Rural Hospitals and Clinics: I will advocate for programs that stabilize our rural hospitals and clinics, ensuring our neighbors have access to emergency services and primary care close to home.

  • Supporting Mental Health and Law Enforcement: Our rural mental health providers, county law enforcement, and emergency medical teams need stable state support to coordinate care, keep families secure, and take the pressure off our local county systems.
